Nigeria will host the first Internet Business Summit in Africa, where Internet Business experts from the United States and the United Kingdom are billed to attend.
The Chairman of Afrinet Business Solutions, Dr. Ope Banwo, in a statement said, the internet solution company is set to organise the first Internet Business Summit in Africa. Afrinet Business Solutions in collaboration with American Internet Business School will be bridging the knowledge and connection gap for African businesses and entrepreneurs, through the summit slated for November 2nd in Lagos and Abuja.
According to Banwo, “This will be done by bringing some of the best internet marketers from USA, UK and Caribbean to Africa for a 7-day summit in Lagos and Abuja.”Some of the internet marketers include leading names such as, Willie Crawford; Daven Michael; Lou Brown; Alicia Lyttle; Tim R. Johnson; Allyn Cutts; Raam Anand and Dr. Ope Banwo of Afrinet Solutions who is also the moderator of the event.
The summit will include both general sessions to deal with most critical aspects of internet business and an industry-specific boot camps to address the direct needs of different critical industries such as hospitality, banking, telecoms, manufacturing, media and entertainment, publishers among others.
Speaking on the focus of the summit, Banwo said “The recent upsurge of interest in the internet for businesses in Africa and the growing demands for more expert knowledge and interaction on internet marketing made us realise the time has come for the frontiers of internet business to be taken to the next level in Africa with the involvement of top experts in the USA, UK and Canada to Africa."
According to him, “Africa generally may have been slow to catch on to the internet marketing frenzy due to its structural and logistics handicap, but the trend in the last few years has shown a dramatic upsurge of interest of Africans and African Businesses on how to harness the power of the internet to increase their profits and empower entrepreneurs to launch and manage their own internet business.”
