Germany-based Messe Düsseldorf is organising Medical Fair India 2013, a three-day international trade exhibition and conference on diagnostics, medical health care, equipment and technology.
The Medical tradefair is scheduled to be held on March 8-10, 2013 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Organised through its Indian subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf India, the event is set to attract participations from over 300 exhibitors from 15 countries.
“The technology on display, from overseas, will help the healthcare sector in India,” said an official of Messe Düsseldorf India.
The event assumes significance from the perspective of Indian healthcare sector, which is expected to become a $280 billion industry by 2020, with spending on health estimated to grow 14% annually, according to an industry report.
At present the sector is estimated to be around $40 billion and will grow to $78.6 billion by end-2012.
Better standard of living, improved education and increasing incidence of lifestyle diseases is triggering a higher demand for modern, quicker treatment methods and newer forms of therapy/diagnosis.
Medical equipment and technology suppliers, manufactures and users from the countries like France, Belgium, USA, China, SE Asia, Germany and India will showcase their range at the exhibition. On display will be world-class hospital supplies, surgical items, medical disposables, diagnostics and a host of other issues to be discussed and displayed in conference and exhibitions respectively.
Medical Fair India is growing from strength to strength as the number of exhibitors in the current events is likely to surpass the last year’s benchmark of 300. The fair had attracted more than 6,000 visitors last year and a further rise in the number of visitors is anticipated for 2013 also.
