Galaxy Note 3 with gear launched in Kenya

Samsung Electronics East Africa has launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in Kenya, as part of an on-going global launch of the new smart phone in key markets. Kenya is the second country in Africa to host the launch of the Galaxy Note 3, after South Africa.
Speaking during the launch of the Galaxy Note 3 in Nairobi, Samsung Electronics East Africa Chief Operating Officer, Mr Robert Ngeru revealed that Note 3 is set to help consumers ‘Design their lives’ by adding delight to daily tasks that infuses innovative features that eventually help consumers tell the story of their lives.
“The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 continues to give consumers the ultimate experience by making everyday activities easier and more joyful,” said Ngeru.


Ngeru added Samsung invested substantial resources have been invested into finding the needs of consumers.
With the launch of Galaxy Note 3 consumers will now tell the stories of their lives through dynamic and seamless expression of their passions across work, play and life experiences. With a simple click of the S Pen, users can unlock features that transform everyday activities into extraordinary events and access to new experiences delivered to them on Note 3’s larger screen.


“We introduced the original GALAXY Note in 2011 and launched a whole new smart device category. The undeniable success of the GALAXY Note strengthened our conviction that consumers want higher quality features for smart devices and they want those new features to make their lives better,” reiterated Mr Ngeru.
The Galaxy Note 3 has maintained the same frame size with a large 5.7″ display than the Galaxy Note 2, but it is slimmer and lighter with a more comfortable grip. The Galaxy Note 3 has internal capacity of 2GB RAM and the battery has been improved.


The Galaxy Note 3, which will retail at Sh79,000, has an accompanying gear that includes a compatible watch-like accessory which allows users to read and respond to texts, receive calls, take photos and consume digital content. The stylus is more responsive and gives consumers more options compared to the earlier versions.
Samsung has revamped its customer service especially in regards to damage to the gadgets.
“I am excited to announce that our consumers will enjoy a revamped Accidental Damage from handling warranty dubbed Samsung Premium, which has three elements; Smart swap, ADH and Smart value.”
The Smart Swap service, which is a first in the industry, will ensure that Galaxy Note 3 owners will receive up to two new devices if their current new device gets liquid or screen damage.


The ADH feature consists of two free repairs in case of liquid or screen damage to the Galaxy Note 3, within a 24-month period. In addition Galaxy Note 3 owners have the chance to accumulate their ADH incidents to their next flagship device, in case they are not used up within the 24 months period.
Under the Samsung Value service, customers will receive future guaranteed buy-back on the Galaxy Note 3 and an extended 25% discount on the next flagship model.
The Galaxy Note 3 is available in elegant Jet Black, Classic White and Pink color options.
