Posted Date 2015/08/17 23:01

The African Business Aviation conference and exhibition is going to be held in Addis Ababa from September 24-25, 2015.
Airlines engaged in general aviation, aircraft and engine manufacturers, airports and civil aviation authorities will participate at the two day symposium that will be held at the Sheraton Addis. The organizers told The Reporter that senior officials of the African Union and the Ethiopian government will attend the conference. Major aircraft and engine manufacturers will exhibit their products. Ethiopian Airlines is one of the sponsors of the event.

Officials of the African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA) said a number of industry leaders have also been invited to give individual presentations on new and fascinating topics.

"The event is already receiving interest from a number of corporate sponsors which value the platform the symposium offers," Tarek Ragheb, AfBAA Founding Chairman, said. "We want to encourage a full range of delegates to attend and also encourage them to help set the agenda through our interactive round tables. We've also revised our sponsorship options with a wider range of options so more companies can take the opportunity of exposure to this influential audience. We're very excited about this one," he added."As Africa continues to be the leading light in Business Aviation development these symposia are building a reputation for not just talking about aviation, but actually making significant changes, and causing new behaviour in the industry. As the Association representing the industry in Africa, this is what we set out to do, and I believe that this year's symposium will be the strongest yet," Rady Fahmy, Executive Director, said.

The African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA) is a not-for-profit corporation that aims to promote the understanding and benefits that Business Aviation provides for Africa's economic development and prosperity through its unwavering commitment to the organization's Guiding Principles, thus offering assistance and support to enterprises, entrepreneurs, business leaders, governments and their respective Civil Aviation Authorities.
