The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Minister for La Francophonie, welcomes a Senegalese delegation of senior officials to Canada to discuss the preparations for the next Francophonie Summit, to be held in Dakar in 2014.
Canada's bilateral relations with Senegal are close and cover a variety of areas, including the promotion of peace and security, trade and investment, and development assistance. Senegal is an important partner for Canada within multilateral institutions, including La Francophonie.
