Bahraini firm BMMI, through its fully owned subsidiary Global Sourcing & Supply (GSS), has announced further expansion of its reach into the African market.

This reinforces its reputation as one of the most quality-driven, international and steadily growing companies in the region, the company said.

In Port-Gentil, Gabon, BMMI recently acquired land occupation rights and a logistics base for BD2 million ($5.16m).
Furthermore, the group has also completed the acquisition of its joint venture partner's shares in both Sudan and South Sudan, for a total of $747,700.

These acquisitions mark a significant milestone in the development of BMMI's businesses in Africa.
Since 2008, GSS, the integrated facilities management subsidiary of BMMI, has successfully provided a comprehensive range of contracted services to commercial, governmental and NGO clients in mature and developing markets.
The company currently operates in Mali, Gabon, Ghana, Sudan, South Sudan and Burkina Faso, and runs a hub in Kenya, which provides access to the markets of Tanzania, Uganda and Somalia.

GSS offers services supplied to industries as diverse as non-governmental organisations, mining, infrastructure and oil and gas, with a focus on temporary structures, facility management and food and hospitality services in both onshore and offshore sectors.

With high-quality services and continuous expansion, GSS has become one of the foremost providers of integrated facilities management solutions to a wide range of clients across Africa.
Listed on the Bahrain Stock Exchange, BMMI has an annual turnover in excess of $230m.
